| Okay,
first a few simple rules.
1. TARTA
riders are responsible for loading and securing, unloading
and monitoring their bicycles.
2. Children
under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
3. Please
secure the driver's permission to load the bicycle rack first.
4. Remove
loose items from your bicycle (you know, things that might
fall off in transit like water bottles).

Is
it easy? And how!
1. Approach
the bike rack from the curb. Hold your bike with one hand
while using the other hand to squeeze the release handle at
the top center of the rack. This lowers the rack.
2. Place
bike in the available wheel wells nearest to the bus, and
face the bike into the street. Check the markings that indicate
where the front bicycle tire should be positioned.
3. Pull
the J-hook (support arm) up over the front bicycle tire to
secure the bike.
4. When
you reach your destination, again secure the driver's permission
to unload your bike. Pull up on the J-hook, and lift bicycle
out of the wheel wells. Fold the rack back into its stored
position, and take your bike to the curb. DO NOT PROCEED INTO
TRAFFIC.
